Death Knight Macros

These are the Frost Dk Macros I’m using for 4.3. If you have any suggestions or questions about them, please let me know.

Frost Death Knight Macros 4.3

Rune/Frost Strike Macro

#showtooltip
 #/console SET Sound_EnableSFX 0
 /cast [spec:1]Frost Strike;[spec:2,exists]Death Coil
 /castrandom Rune Strike
 /script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
 #/console SET Sound_EnableSFX 1

Explanation – If your in Frost presence, it will cast Rune Strike whenever it is up. If it is not up you will cast Frost Strike. The only downfall for a Macro like this, is the error messages you will get. Hence the EnableSFX scripts, so your good to go.

Ghoul Summon/Sacrifice Macro

#showtooltip
 /castsequence reset=60 Raise Dead, Death Pact

Explanation – First click will summon your ghoul. Second click will sacrifice him to restore some of your health.

Ghoul Stun Macro

#showtooltip Gnaw
 /cast [@focus] Gnaw

Explanation – This will let you use your ghouls Gnaw ability on your focused target.

Pillar of Frost Macro

#showtooltip Pillar of Frost
 /cast Pillar of Frost
 /cast Blood Tap
 /use 14

Explanation – This will use your Pillar of Frost with your Trinket, and of course Blood Tap is in there ( Blood Tap should be in all of your dps Macros ). If you want you can throw in a /Raise Dead for more Dps.

Blood Death Knight Macros 4.3

Chains of Ice Macro

#showtooltip Chains of Ice
 /cast [mod:shift, @focus] Chains of Ice; Chains of Ice

Explanation – This will cast Chains of Ice on your current target or you can hold down Shift for focused target.

Strangulate Macro

#showtooltip Strangulate
 /cast [mod:shift, @focus] Strangulate; Strangulate

Explanation – click it normally it will cast Strangulate on your current target or hold down Shift for focused target.

Lichborne Macro

#showtooltip Lichborne
 /cast Lichborne;
 /cast [@player] Death Coil

Explanation – This will cast Lichborne followed by a Death Coil on yourself for those crazy good heals. You can just spam it for a couple Death Coils to help out the healer.

Vampiric Blood/Rune Tap Macro

#showtooltip
 /cast Vampiric Blood
 /cast Rune Tap

Explanation – This will cast Vampiric Blood followed by a Rune Tap. Spam it if you have a couple of Blood Runes you want to use.

Unholy Death Knight Macros 4.3

Dk Pet Dismiss Macro

/script PetDismiss()
/cast Raise Dead

Explanation -  Click it once to dismiss ghoul, then click it a second time to resummon him. Really good for Arena when pet gets feared.

Mind Freeze Macro

#showtooltip Mind Freeze
/cast [mod:shift, @focus] Mind Freeze; Mind Freeze

Explanation – This will Mind Freeze your current target or you can hold down Shift to hit your focused target.

Death Grip Macro

#showtooltip Death Grip
/cast [mod:shift, @focus] Death Grip; Death Grip

Explanation -  This will Death Grip your current target or hold down Shift to Death Grip your focused target.

Ghoul Huddle Macro

#showtooltip Huddle
 /cast Huddle

Explanation -  This will cause your ghoul to use Huddle whenever you click it.

Like I promised we will briefly go over how to make a Death Knight Macro. This will be a complete guide so you can come back here for future reference.

• After you log-in you can hit  /Macro or just open up your Main Menu and click the Macro Window.

• Next you will see YourName Macros, and General Macros. The tab marked General is for every character you have, and the tab marked Youname  is if you want it for a certain character. So if you’re making a certain Death Knight Pvp Macro your going to click the Yourname tab.

• After you click those you should see a big grid of boxes, and under the boxes is a single box which shows your currently selected Macro. Below that is the edit box which you will use to select the actually Macro.

• Now we actually start making your Death Knight Macro. First click the new tab. That will bring up a new window where you can choose whatever icon you want and put a name for it.

Note: if you hit the ? it will automatically pick the spell name icon.

• Next you will notice you can start typing in the box grid.

• Lastly after making the Macro for your Death Knight you just drag it out then place it on your action bar.

If you don’t know anything about script I will got over that in another post on Death Knight Macros. There are tons of different variations you can make for different spells to. Just to give you some ideals here are a few good ones to try out Death Knight Rotation Macro, Death Knight Rune Strike Macro, Death Knight Pet Macro, and even some really useful Death Knight Pvp Macros.

Like I said before those are just a few there are tons of different ones. In the next couple of days I will post some of the ones I like the most so everyone can start using them right away.

Welcome to Death Knight Macros. I want to first thank everyone for pushing me to make this site. Many of my friends already know how much I love World of Warcraft and enjoy using all my Macros for my Death Knight. I don’t want to bore you too much talking about myself so if you want to know more info on me please visit the About Me section.

The general theme of Death Knight Macros will be sharing with everybody what I think are some of the most Useful Death Knight Macros out there are. I will try to keep everyone up to date on all the best ones there as soon as every new WoW patch comes out and of course expansions. So we will start with patch 4.3 Macros for Death Knights.
